Northlander Industries is growing and we’re looking for an experienced Design professional to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, possess good time management skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is highly organized, efficient and is able to multitask in a fast- paced environment.

  • Efficiently managing and monitoring social media platforms to promote projects and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud to create marketing materials for sales team
  • Contributing to project management and design implementation by assisting other designers. While providing administrative support such as organizing files, and maintaining project documentation. Additionally helping prepare presentation materials such as mood boards, renderings, and presentations for the sales team.
  • Inspiring and supporting design projects by researching design trends, materials, and furnishings.
  • Assisting with the design of drawings, floorplans, elevations, and other documentation using software such as AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.
  • Keeping the design and staging center organized and tidy, including managing inventory of supplies and materials.
  • Collaborating with other members of the design, drafting, purchasing and sales team.
  • Assisting in identifying and resolving design-related problems and challenges that may arise during the course of the sales and production process

Qualifications

  • Interior Design, Architectural Technologist or Similar
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Similar
  • Design Experience 2-3 years (Preferred)

Requirements

  • Efficient with social media and capable of monitoring social media platforms (Ex. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
  • Design knowledge and an understanding of design concepts.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience providing administrative and project coordination support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Cloud and any other design related software is considered an advantage.
  • Marketing skills are considered an asset.
